OPIHI LOVE Wedding Planning Island Hop

Megan and Chris tie the knot oceanside at Lanikuhonua, where Heaven meets earth.

Opihi Love has mastered the world of design and planning when it comes to tropical and destination weddings. Although we love bringing wedding dreams to life on Maui, it doesn’t just stop there. O’ahu weddings also hold a special place for our team. When planning your wedding, it’s important that all those brides-to-be out there, find a location and venue that perfectly matches their mood boards. And beyond that, find a place that will perfectly tell their love story.

Megan and Chris got to say “I do,” at the Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute overlooking the glittery Pacific Ocean. This venue is surrounded by palm trees, luscious greenery, and crashing waves, showing off the beauty of the island. This venue truly lives up to the reputation, known as Where Heaven Meets the Earth” the name given by Kamokila Campbell describing this exquisite beachfront paradise.

As a wedding planner in Hawai’i, it’s important that you know that we are able to bring your wedding to life, no matter what island. And we also want to show you our vast portfolio and what we can do.

When it comes to choosing where in Hawai’i you want to get married, there are certain elements that will help us find which spot is perfect for you. Being able to get married in Hawai’i is already something so special. Each island holds beauty and unique elements that tell the story of the amazing Hawaiian culture. O’ahu holds home to hundreds of breathtaking beaches, however, with a touch of city life as well. When it comes to choosing your wedding venue on O’ahu, the list goes on from flourishing valleys to beautiful beach oases, and everything in between.

O’ahu offers a variety of different wedding venues. When considering your budget for your wedding (I know, the not-so-fun part of planning a wedding, but nonetheless important) it is a lot easier to stay within that allotted budget, when looking at the venues here. In addition to the plethora of wedding venues, there is a large array of wedding vendors to choose from, which also helps keep wedding costs down.

As I mentioned earlier, this island has a combination of beautiful beaches, but also a cityscape. When choosing a wedding venue and location, it’s always important to keep in mind places for wedding guests to stay. On O’ahu with the growing city life, there are a number of hotel options and hotel blocks to be offered for your guests. And within that, there are a lot of fun activities and restaurants to help host your guests in the days leading up to the wedding.

Megan and Chris’s wedding was tropical chic, with elements of pure white floral arrangements, touches of rich greens from the beauty of the island, sparkly lights, and elegance. The ceremony was set looking over the ocean, with a rose-covered arch framing the lovebirds perfectly by Yvonne Design. The ceremony took place just steps away from where these two got to exchange vows, under string lights, and surrounded by loved ones.

Our team is prepped and ready to help bring your dream wedding visions to life. We have a deep understanding of what it takes to create the perfect day that will tell your love story whether that is on Maui or O’ahu. After all darling, it wouldn’t be a party without you. And if that party is on O’ahu, we will see you there!
